Living with a 1970 Jaguar Collector Car and Breaking the Bank While Enjoying Your Vacation
Posted by richard under classic cars, insurance, old cars

We've had fun this year.
Kathy and I have depended on our 1970 Jaguar now for almost six years. For that length of time we've been very happy with the car. The condo is in rural Iowa, near Deloit, and we enjoy touring in the car during the fall months. My opinion is I'd say it's a brilliant toy for the money.
Ever since we bought the Jaguar we've been on the road. We drove to visit my relatives in Oregon many times with no problems whatsoever. The Jaguar does fair on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of service.
The Jaguar is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past 18 years. Our previous car, a Lamborghini, had plenty of headaches and we weren't unhappy to unload it.
It was very important to insure the vehicle. For our classic car insurance quotes we went with a company called Leland-West. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on muscle car insurance. It's a cool place for finding the lowest cost on specialty car insurance. We insured the Jaguar for half of what Progressive wanted.
The antique car insurance was just in time because within a month of getting it we were involved in a horrible accident with a Fiat. The accident totalled both cars. Our Leland-West insurance agent got ahold of us and let us know the car would be covered! It was a relief because of our love to the car.
The worth of the car has gone up a lot over the past two years to our surprise. It's hard to believe we paid $15,000 for the car back in the late ninties. Now it's worth at least $35,000! We've been offered this much several times this year. My girlfriend is very excited!
Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of excellent Jaguars out there. Buy a Jaguar now before the price goes up! You won't be sorry.
